HydraFacial Syndeo

The latest iteration of the HydraFacial is the HydraFacial Syndeo, which features a digital component and advanced  LED light therapy. Even though there’s more technology than ever behind the HydraFacial Syndeo, at its core, the unique procedure still works towards boosting the skin’s health, tone, and texture via a personalized treatment. The medical-grade facial works wonders for many skincare concerns, ranging from the common signs of aging to breakouts, clogged pores, dry spots, and rough or uneven skin texture.

What is a HydraFacial?

The super popular HydraFacial is a noninvasive skin care treatment, a modern-day version of a traditional facial. A HydraFacial focuses on skin cleaning and extractions, delivering specialized serums pushed into the skin via a high tech handpiece. Each HydraFacial treatment is customized to your specific skin care needs during the treatment. HydraFacials are also painless and highly effective for exfoliating the skin while nourishing and hydrating it.

Unlike a classic facial, performed entirely by hand and without suction tools, the hydrating and non-irritating HydraFacial utilizes a unique and proprietary vacuum machine that removes dirt, oil, dead skin cells, and debris from the pores. While some facials may be considered more pampering and relaxing, this treatment falls into the spectrum of a more severe skin treatment—think of it as a facial meets deep extraction meets chemical peel and microdermabrasion all at once. The HydraFacial is the only hydra-dermabrasion skin treatment that uses patented technology to cleanse, extract, and hydrate the skin. But the best part about HydraFacial is that the treatment is entirely customizable according to your skin concerns, making it beneficial to all skin types.

HydraFacial Syndeo

The newest version of the HydraFacial, the HydraFacial Syndeo, features a custom LED light therapy device, which allows for professional-strength therapeutic light energy in a hands-free application. The HydraFacial Syndeo also incorporates a digital component into the machine to enhance the consumer and provider experience.

Featuring cloud-based software, the revamped device blends the HydraFacial treatment with digital capabilities for additional data, insights, and key learnings to better analyze consumer behavior and understand client needs for a more targeted experience. With an upgraded interface, it has three options: signature, deluxe, and platinum.

Signature

Signature HydraFacial is an invigorating treatment that deeply cleanses, exfoliates, and removes impurities from the skin while infusing it with nourishing and hydrating ingredients.

Deluxe

Deluxe HydraFacial consists of the Signature version with the added benefit of personalized Boosters to address more specific skin concerns.

Platinum

Platinum HydraFacial consists of cleansing, exfoliating, extracting, a Booster of your choice to address specific skin concerns, lymphatic drainage massage, and  customizable LED light therapy to tackle visible signs of aging.

How Does a HydraFacial Treatment Work?

A HydraFacial is the only hydra-dermabrasion (or wet dermabrasion) facial treatment that utilizes a patented technology to cleanse, extract and hydrate the skin for unparalleled results and clean, clear, glowy skin.

During the 45-minute treatment, the treatment goes hard to work to target multiple skin issues such as aging, acne, clogged pores, blackheads, pigmentation, dryness, and rough texture. Because of its unique technology, HydraFacial treatments are deemed safe and effective for all skin tones and types and most skin conditions—it works on the uppermost layers of the skin, so there’s no risk of skin damage—with no downtime.

STEP 01

Skin cleansing

The first step is the skin cleansing portion of the treatment known as Cleanse + Peel. The vacuum-like handpiece is gently run over the skin to give it a good, deep-down cleanse to remove built-up sebum, makeup, dirt, and product residue and gently exfoliate the uppermost layer of dead skin cells. The Activ-4 serum is infused into the skin via the handpiece to help remove dead skin cells. In contrast, a combination serum of glycolic and salicylic acids delivers the skin-loving and exfoliating benefits of a chemical peel without any dryness, scaling, or redness that a peel is commonly known for.

STEP 02

Extract + Hydrate

The second step is the Extract + Hydrate step. During this part of the HydraFacial, the treatment will remove any lingering debris from the pores via suction. Then, the skin is nourished with hydrating ingredients.

STEP 03

Fuse + Protect

Finally, the last phase of the HydraFacial is the Fuse + Protect step, where the HydraFacial painlessly removes debris from within the pores with suction. It also nourishes the skin with intense moisturizers and treats it with antioxidants and peptides to up the glow factor. At this time, any other specific skin concerns can be addressed with an add-on Booster serum.

All of the steps are performed using the same handpiece, and since the transition from one stage to the next is seamless, you shouldn’t feel anything on the skin save for some light suction and maybe pressure. Also, depending on the level of exfoliation needed, the aesthetician can change the tip of the handpiece (Hydropeel), with options ranging from sensitive to aggressive.

Beyond cleansing the skin, HydraFacials also help to brighten it. With fewer dead skin cells on the skin’s surface, a HydraFacial treatment allows light to properly reflect off the skin and for subsequent skincare products to penetrate better. And with the integration of LED light therapy in the new HydraFacial Syndeo device, there are even more skin benefits since red LED light addresses wrinkles and damage by stimulating collagen production, and blue LED light hones in on acne-causing bacteria and pore congestion.

What Are the Benefits Of a HydraFacial Treatment?

There are several benefits of a HydraFacial, including skin that looks clear, clean, nourished, hydrated, and glowy. Since it is suitable for almost all skin types, the treatment appeals to all ages, skin tones, and skin types. Some of the more noticeable benefits include:

HydraFacial treatments are suitable for all skin types and tones, making them a must-have treatment with consistent outcomes. They are also downtime free, with no pretreatment prep needed, which patients appreciate. The results are also immediate, and each HydraFacial can be customized to target your skin needs and even paired with other skin treatments for optimal results. HydraFacials are beloved for delivering dewy, clean, glowing skin in a single session.

Another benefit of HydraFacials is the ability to customize the options and choose from one of several Booster serums added to the handpiece before the treatment. Each Booster is infused into the skin by the handpiece to improve specific skin concerns. On top of that, there’s also the option to include add-ons to enhance further the effects of the HydraFacial with lymphatic drainage, manual extractions, LED light therapy and other skin treatments.

Unlike other skin-refreshing treatments that require downtime, there’s none with a HydraFacial. Although there may be some minor pinkness for a few hours after the procedure, which dissipates quickly, most people notice their fresh, glowing skin that is instantly brighter-looking, plump and well-hydrated. The more treatments you do, the more the skin will improve with time and the better it will look.

How Is a HydraFacial Different From Other Facials?

Facials have their place in skin care, but HydraFacial wraps all the benefits of a facial and more into a single device. The HydraFacial leaves the skin immediately hydrated, glowing, and plump following a single treatment, which can’t be said for every facial. The HydraFacial uses a patented Vortex-Fusion delivery system to exfoliate, extract and hydrate skin, removing impurities from the pores and providing serums into the skin.

The HydraFacial is highly customizable, and a wide range of different Boosters are infused into the skin during the treatment through the machine’s handpiece. There are Boosters to address various common skin issues, produced in conjunction with some of the biggest names in skin care, like ZO Skin Health, Alastin, JLO Beauty, Dr. Nassif,  Murad, and Sente.

Who Is a HydraFacial For?

Just about anyone will benefit from a HydraFacial, but those who see the most considerable improvement from the treatment have clogged pores, acne, and dull skin tend. A HydraFacial is also an excellent option for anyone looking to quickly achieve healthy, glowing skin with a natural dewy look. The treatment is also beneficial for improving the following:

Fine lines and wrinkles

A loss of firmness and elasticity

Brown spots

Oily skin and congested skin

Enlarged pores

Dull skin texture

Uneven skin tone and loss of vibrancy

HydraFacials can be performed on almost all skin types and tones, even the most sensitive skin. But, you’ll want to avoid treatment if you are currently dealing with active rashes, sunburns, or rosacea flare-ups since the treatment may cause damage. The same goes for open wounds, which are prone to inflammation. Pregnant women should always consult their doctor before undergoing a HydraFacial treatment since some ingredients, like salicylic acid, are not deemed safe during pregnancy.
